Giving an AI agent a lien deadline playbook

Ask a general chat assistant for a supplier lien deadline and you usually get a confident date. What you often don't get is the statute it used, or a note that it assumed a fact you never gave it.

So we wrote an agent skill. It runs the same routine every time: asks for the state, project type, who hired you, first and last delivery dates, and yes, no or unknown on the events that can move a deadline. Then it gets the dates from LienDeadline and shows the statute behind each one.

When a fact is missing, it says needs review and why. It doesn't make up a date.

It works in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and GitHub Copilot. Install is one line: npx skills add LienDeadline/skills.

Setup and an example run are on the LienDeadline agent skill page.
